Guns, crime, drugs: OK for kids?

The rap band called 50 Cent is currently the best-selling pop group, not just in the US, not just in the UK, but worldwide.

Their lyrics feature violence, crime, money, etc, etc, ad nauseum. Their huge marketing campaign exploits vivid images of murder and gun crime to glamourize members of the band.

Is this type of thing acceptable? Millions of kids are buying this material and they think it is extremely cool:
